Guanella HC

Finally, after having to take 6 weeks off from racing I’m back! With all the troubles I had with my leg injury, I was just very glad to be able to race again today. Guanella HC is a 11 mi climbing race, the finish is up at 11700 ft. I’ve never ever rode my bike up to that elevation before. It was a real test as no hiding or sitting in is possible in that kind of race. I finished 3rd and was happy with my effort/ power numbers. I’m positive that the Chiro treatments help and that I’m on a good way now.DSC_0589

Injury update/ no National Championships

Good news is that I’m back to normal training. Currently I get a lot of Chiro treatments, they aren’t much fun but will solve the problem with my injury. The goal is to be back racing with my team in early July. In order to make that comeback happen, I need enough time to get more Chiro treatments, training & training races done. Due to that, I won’t compete at the National Championships in my home country Switzerland. I’m sad to miss out on this years Nationals. But at this point it is more important to choose the best plan to be soon at 100% again. Fingers crossed that I will be back in race action in July!
